About Boland
Bolands is an iconic Irish biscuit brand with roots stretching back to the 19th century, representing the best of Ireland's rich baking tradition. In the late 1970s, Bolands merged with Jacob's Biscuits Limited to form Irish Biscuits Limited, creating a powerhouse of beloved Irish confectionery now distributed through Jacob Fruitfield Foods. The brand is best known for its distinctive 'Mallows' range - Kimberley, Mikado, and Coconut Creams - immortalised in the beloved advertising jingle "Kimberley, Mikado and Coconut Cream, someone you love would love some, Mum!" These three biscuits hold a special place in Irish culture and heritage, representing quintessentially Irish taste sensations that have been enjoyed by generations. Bolands Kimberley biscuits are particularly cherished - soft ginger-spiced biscuits hugging a fluffy marshmallow centre with a coarse sugar crystal coating, creating a nostalgic treat unlike any other. The range also includes classic Fig Rolls, with Irish television famously pondering "How do they get the fig into the fig rolls?" The brand's Rich Tea, Lemon Puffs, and Bourbon Creams complete a comprehensive lineup of traditional biscuit favourites. Now part of Valeo Foods and distributed by Jacob Fruitfield Foods from Dublin, Bolands biscuits continue to bring Irish baking heritage to homes across the UK and Ireland, available at major supermarkets including Asda and Morrisons.
