About Doves Farm
Doves Farm is Britain's number one organic flour brand, founded in 1978 by Michael and Clare Marriage in Hungerford, on the Wiltshire/Berkshire border. The family business was born from a shared passion for nutritious food made from ingredients grown responsibly to benefit people and planet. Michael Marriage's interest in sustainable food production developed during his work with Oxfam in Africa. In the 1970s, he and Clare converted his father's Wiltshire farm to organic production—becoming one of the first organic wheat farms in the UK. They installed traditional stone-grinding mills to produce wholesome wholemeal flour from grain grown to the toughest organic standards. As pioneers of ancient grains, Doves Farm led the reintroduction of lost British grains to UK soil. Rye came first, followed by spelt, einkorn, and emmer. Today, they produce over twenty different flours, championing heritage varieties alongside modern baking essentials. The FREEE gluten-free range was developed by Clare Marriage after her mother was advised to follow a gluten-free diet in the late 1970s. Recognising how difficult this was, Clare created a range of gluten-free flours that deliver results indistinguishable from traditional wheat baking. The range includes plain, self-raising, and bread flours made from blends of rice, potato, tapioca, maize, and buckwheat. Beyond flour, Doves Farm offers baking mixes, breakfast cereals, pasta, and biscuits. All products are Soil Association certified organic, and the gluten-free range is approved by Coeliac UK and certified by the Vegan Society. Doves Farm products are available at UK supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Morrisons, and health food stores. Compare prices across retailers with Grocefully.
