About H Forman and Son
H. Forman & Son is the world's oldest producer of smoked salmon, established in 1905 when Harry Forman brought his fish curing expertise from Russia to London's East End. Now in its fourth generation, this family business remains the 'Rolls-Royce' of the smoked salmon industry. Their signature London Cure Smoked Salmon holds EU Protected Geographical Indication status - the first London food to receive this prestigious protection, placing it alongside Champagne, Parma ham, and Wensleydale cheese. The cure uses the freshest Scottish salmon, a touch of salt, and pure oak smoke - nothing else. Every step from filleting to hand-boning with tweezers to slicing is performed by skilled artisans. The UK range includes the iconic London Cure Smoked Salmon, Royal Smoked Salmon Fillet for special occasions, and Sticky Maple & Sesame Hot-Smoked Salmon offering a contemporary twist. The smokehouse also produces artisan treats like Banana Bread. Based in a distinctive salmon-shaped building on Fish Island, London, H. Forman & Son has supplied prestigious establishments including Wilton's restaurant for over 90 years. Available at Ocado and specialist food retailers, their products bring world-class quality to home dining.
