About Horwood
Horwood Homewares is a historic British cookware and kitchenware supplier founded in Bristol in 1896 by William Joseph Horwood. Now in its fourth generation of family leadership under Jeremy Horwood, the company has grown from a small family business to one of the largest table and cookware suppliers in the UK, offering more than 2,000 products. The company proudly manufactures and owns long-standing British kitchenware brands Judge and Stellar, alongside their sustainable reusable brand Smidge. By the 1930s, Judge had become the leading cookware brand in the UK with a range of over 100 items. The brand's popularity was so strong that even during World War II, when metal was in high demand for machinery, Judge kitchenware continued production despite three of four Horwood warehouses being destroyed in heavy bombing. Horwood's resilience saw them bounce back after the war, expanding into larger warehouses with an even bigger range of kitchenware. Traditional family values—quality, service, and innovation—remained at the heart of the business across grandfather, father, and son through three generations of leadership. Today, Horwood Homewares is part of the TTK Group following acquisition by TTK Prestige through TTK British Holdings. This partnership with one of the world's leading kitchen appliance manufacturers brings world-class engineering, global supply chain strength, and scalable production capacity. Operating from their Avonmouth warehouse, Horwood serves key European markets with sales presence in England, Ireland, Sweden, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and the US.
