About Ines Rosales
Inés Rosales has been making traditional Spanish olive oil tortas (tortas de aceite) since 1910, when founder Inés Rosales started her business in Castilleja de la Cuesta, a small town outside Seville, using age-old family recipes. She became one of the first female entrepreneurs of her time, growing her business even through Spain's civil war. These iconic Sweet Olive Oil Tortas are still handmade today - 400,000 tortas a day! - using the original family recipe with just a handful of ingredients: wheat flour, premium extra virgin olive oil, sugar, and aromatic spices like anise and sesame seeds. Never any preservatives or artificial ingredients. The tortas have a unique light, crunchy, and toasted texture that comes from the traditional hand-making process. In Spain, they're typically enjoyed with coffee or tea for breakfast or an afternoon snack, while elsewhere they're often paired with cheese. Varieties include Original with anise and sesame, Seville Orange with zesty orange essence, and savoury versions with rosemary and thyme. Now sold in over 30 countries, Grocefully helps you compare Inés Rosales prices across UK retailers including Ocado and specialist food shops.
