About OCB
OCB is one of the world's most iconic rolling paper brands, tracing its heritage to 1822 when brothers René and Guillaume Bolloré built a paper mill beside the Odet River in Brittany, France. The name OCB stands for Odet Cascadec Bolloré - combining the river name, the town where production expanded in 1893, and the founding family. The OCB trademark was officially registered in 1918, making it a century brand with over 200 years of papermaking expertise. From humble beginnings in the French countryside, OCB grew into a global powerhouse. By 1930, the company was producing over 2,000 tons of paper reels and an incredible 86 million OCB booklets annually, with 90% exported worldwide. Despite setbacks during World War II, the brand persevered and continued to innovate. In 1986, production was consolidated at their Perpignan facility, where papers are still crafted today using carbon-neutral renewable energy. The brand has continuously innovated over the decades. The black OCB Premium launched in 1999 became the standard for long papers, followed by the Xpert series in 2004 and organic hemp variants from 2009. Today, OCB is owned by Republic Technologies and remains committed to quality and sustainability, operating from their state-of-the-art facility powered by hydropower, wind, solar and biomass. At Grocefully, we help UK smokers find the best prices on OCB rolling papers across supermarkets and convenience stores.
