About Rempapa
Rempapa is an artisan Southeast Asian curry paste brand born in a London kitchen, founded by Shu Han Lee - a Singaporean cookery writer and author of "Agak Agak: Everyday Recipes from Singapore" and "Chicken and Rice, Southeast Asian Recipes from a London Kitchen." The name comes from 'rempah', the Malay word for spice pastes. As a homesick Singaporean unable to find authentic ready-made spice pastes in the UK, Shu Han began making traditional family recipes that became lifesavers on busy weeknights. Co-founded with Olly, Rempapa grew into a small-batch artisan company supplying Ocado, Whole Foods, Selfridges, and independent shops across the UK. The range includes Balinese Spiced Tamarind (15 ingredients featuring cinnamon, cardamom, star anise with sharp tamarind), Mamak Curry Leaf & Roasted Cumin (fiery and savoury with nutty toasted cumin), Peranakan Turmeric & Lemongrass (vibrant and aromatic), and Sambal Tumis Chilli Paste. Every jar is packed with aromatic herbs and spices - no watering down, no added preservatives. All Rempapa pastes are vegan-friendly, gluten-free, and soy-free, made from all-natural ingredients and crafted meticulously in small batches.
