About Teapigs
Teapigs was launched in 2006 by tea industry veterans Louise Cheadle and Nick Kilby, both of whom brought extensive experience from their previous roles at Tetley. Their mission was simple: to get the UK drinking better quality tea. With Louise's 15+ years as a professional tea taster travelling the world sourcing tea, the brand set out to revolutionise how Britain experiences this beloved beverage. The brand's signature innovation is the tea temple - a roomy, biodegradable pyramid mesh bag containing high-quality whole leaf tea rather than the dust and fannings found in standard tea bags. This design allows the leaves space to unfurl and release their full flavour, creating a premium cup. In 2018, Teapigs became the first tea brand in the UK to use the Plastic Free logo on its tea temple range. From humble beginnings in Ealing, Teapigs has grown into a leading super-premium tea brand in the UK, now sold in major supermarkets, thousands of independent food stores, cafés, restaurants, hotels, and exported to over 40 countries. The brand is owned by Tata Consumer Products, who have supported the business since its founding. The Teapigs range spans everyday teas like Everyday Brew and English Breakfast, premium options including Darjeeling and Earl Grey Strong, herbal infusions, green teas, matcha, and speciality varieties like Chai and Lemon & Ginger. Compare Teapigs prices across Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Ocado and other UK retailers on Grocefully to find the best deals on premium tea.
