About Yogiyo
Yogiyo brought authentic Korean cooking to British kitchens as the UK's first range of traditional Korean sauces. Founded in 2013 by Ben Ansah and Sue Youn, the brand draws on Sue's childhood at her family's restaurant in a South Korean fishing village. The entrepreneurial journey began with a food truck at London's Leather Lane market, where growing enthusiasm for Korean flavours caught the attention of Selfridges. A defining moment came on Dragons' Den when Peter Jones secured a 33% stake for £50,000 after a bidding war, launching Yogiyo into over 450 Sainsbury's stores in October 2015. The original range featured three signature products: Gochu Jang Cooking Sauce (a rich, spicy paste for stir-fries and Korean fried chicken), Gochu Jang Dipping Sauce (sweet-spicy notes of Korean chilli), and Galbi Sauce (the classic Korean marinade with sweet umami flavours). Today, Yogiyo offers 12 products including meal kits, noodle pots, hot sauces, and BBQ sauces. The stir-fry sauce range includes the Mild Korean Sesame Soy (premium soy with garlic) and Medium Korean Chilli (sweet-peppery with gentle heat). All products are vegan-friendly, making Korean cuisine accessible to everyone. At Grocefully, compare Yogiyo prices across UK supermarkets to find the best deals on authentic Korean sauces.
