Most eggs come from farms. Ours come from a tiny feather-covered kingdom ruled by rare breed hens with very strong opinions.
From dawn until dusk, our girls roam the farm scratching, sunbathing, gossiping, and generally causing gentle chaos while the cockerels’ parade about like they own the place. They live in small mobile sheds that are moved across fresh pasture, giving them new ground to explore and plenty of space to live as nature intended.
We hatch and rear all of our own chicks here on the family farm and believe every bird deserves a good life from beginning to end — including the boys, who stay right where they belong. When our hens eventually retire from laying, they are lovingly rehomed to enjoy a slower pace of life and many more sunny dust baths.
Every egg is hand collected, individually stamped, and packed by our small team of chicken whisperers — a cheerful bunch held together by tea, terrible jokes, muddy boots, and the daily negotiations of life with tiny, feathered dictators.
No conveyor belts. No anonymous flocks. Just proper eggs from happy birds, lovingly produced by people who are quite clearly one peck short of sensible.
