About Igloo Books
Igloo Books is a British children's book publisher based in rural Northamptonshire, specialising in mass-market children's books. Now part of Bonnier Books UK, the company creates high-quality books for babies, toddlers, tweens and all ages in between, published in 38 languages and sold in 85 countries worldwide. Igloo publishes approximately 80 new titles per year. In October 2014, Swedish publishing giant Bonnier acquired Igloo Books, making the group a "dominant force" in children's mass-market publishing. The acquisition added £30 million in annual sales to Bonnier's business, creating an £85 million group and making it one of the five largest children's publishers in the UK. All 120 Igloo staff remained at the Northamptonshire offices following the acquisition. Bonnier Group traces its origins to 1804 when Gerhard Bonnier published his first book in Copenhagen, Denmark. Today, Bonnier Books is a family-owned top-15 world publisher headquartered in Sweden with global sales of £650 million. Bonnier Books UK includes multiple imprints: Igloo Books, Autumn Publishing, Hot Key Books, John Blake Publishing, Templar Publishing, Piccadilly Press, Zaffre, and Studio Press. Igloo Books is the global leader in mass-market children's publishing and an award-winning Disney Book Group licensee. Products include picture books, board books, activity books, sticker books, colouring books, and novelty books—often available at supermarkets and convenience stores at affordable price points.
