About Le Petit Olivier
Le Petit Olivier is an authentic French natural cosmetics brand founded in 2003 by Eric Renard and Xavier Padovani in Salon de Provence. What sets this independent company apart is their ownership of one of the last traditional stone olive mills in southern France, along with their own grove of thousands of olive trees. The brand's heritage is deeply rooted in Provençal tradition. Their Marseille soaps follow centuries-old methods - Savon de Marseille dates back to 1370 and was regulated by Louis XIV in 1688 to ensure quality. Le Petit Olivier's authentic soaps are saponified from 100% olive oil base, contain 72% vegetable oils, and are crafted by master soapmakers using traditional cauldron baking methods. Le Petit Olivier has maintained ethical commitments since before the brand launched, partnering with One Voice since 2001 to ensure cruelty-free practices. For over 20 years, they have refused to market products in countries requiring animal testing. This principled approach extends to using their own farm-produced olive oil in their olive range, ensuring complete traceability. The UK range available at Ocado includes Pure Liquid Marseille Soaps in olive, rose, lavender, orange blossom, and verbena lemon; extra mild soap bars with shea butter, aloe vera, and argan oil; shower gels and creams; plus gentle haircare. All products are made in France with natural French ingredients.
