About Loyd Grossman
Loyd Grossman is the UK's most successful celebrity food brand, established in 1995 by TV presenter and food critic Loyd Grossman in partnership with Premier Foods. A 2003 survey confirmed its status as Britain's top celebrity brand, and the sauces have grown on average 4.7% annually over the past five years—testament to their enduring popularity. The range spans multiple cuisines including Italian (tomato and mascarpone, arrabiata, puttanesca), Indian (tikka masala, korma, jalfrezi, rogan josh), Thai and Vietnamese options, plus Chilli cooking sauces. The 2010 'For One' range introduced individual pouches containing single-serving portions. In 2025, marking the brand's 30th anniversary, Loyd Grossman launched a premium Italian sauce range featuring Pomodoro and Fresh Basil, Pomodoro with Mascarpone & Wild Garlic, and Creamy Tomato & Parmigiano Reggiano—all made in Italy. Premier Foods has demonstrated exceptional confidence in the brand, announcing a £36 million investment in November 2024—their largest in 15 years—to bring production in-house at their Worksop facility by 2028. The licensing agreement with Sir Loyd Grossman has been extended until 2034 with a further five-year option. The Worksop plant also manufactures Sharwood's, Homepride, Batchelors, Bisto, Saxa and Oxo. As of 2012, Premier Foods held the leading UK cooking sauces market share, with Loyd Grossman remaining a flagship brand.
