About Northern Monk
Northern Monk is one of the UK's fastest-growing independent craft breweries, brewing exceptional beer in Leeds since 2013. Founded by Russell Bisset from his mum's Bradford basement, the brewery now operates from the Grade II-listed Old Flax Store in Holbeck and a second site at Sydenham Road, with ambitions to become one of Europe's biggest craft breweries by 2035. Their flagship Faith Hazy Pale Ale was one of the first New England style beers brewed in the UK and remains one of the country's top-selling hazy beers. With creativity, community and collaboration at its core, Northern Monk produces an innovative range including IPAs, stouts, and special Patrons Project collaborations with breweries worldwide. The Refectory taproom offers 16 tap lines pouring core and limited releases alongside rotating food vendors. Committed to sustainability with initiatives including CO2 self-sufficiency and pollinator-friendly planters, Northern Monk represents the best of British craft brewing with expanding taprooms in Manchester and plans for London, York and Edinburgh.
