About Pipers
Pipers Crisps is a premium British crisp brand founded in 2004 by three Lincolnshire farmers - Alex Albone, Simon Herring, and James Sweeting. Based in Elsham, North Lincolnshire, Pipers has become the gourmet crisp of choice for pubs, coffee shops, delicatessens, and farm shops across the UK. The brand was acquired by PepsiCo in 2018, with an £8 million factory investment in 2024 to meet growing demand. Pipers makes all their own crisps in-house, unlike many premium brands. Perfect potatoes (45-65mm) are washed, scrubbed, machine-cut to 0.06 inch thickness, then batch-fried in sunflower oil and hand-turned by staff. During harvest season, potatoes can go from field to crisp within 24 hours. This hand-cooking process creates a distinctively crispy texture. The entire Pipers range is gluten-free, with 79% vegetarian and 57% vegan options. Premium flavours include Wild Thyme & Rosemary (Atlas Mountains), Jalapeño & Dill, Cheddar & Onion, Black Pepper & Sea Salt, and classic Sea Salt. Available in individual packs and sharing bags.
