About Ryvita
Ryvita is an iconic British crispbread brand celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2025. Founded by John Edwin Garratt in 1925, Ryvita initially imported rye crispbreads from Scandinavia before starting UK production in Birmingham in 1932. Now owned by Associated British Foods (since 1949) and operated as part of Jordans Dorset Ryvita, the brand holds a Royal Warrant from King Charles III as manufacturers of crispbreads. The main production facility has been located in Poole, Dorset since 1949. The Ryvita range has expanded significantly from the original crispbread to include Dark Rye, Sesame, Multigrain, Crackerbread (launched 1980), thins, and fruit varieties like Fruit Crunch (1998). All products are made with whole grain rye and are high in fibre, making them a popular choice for health-conscious consumers. Ryvita crispbreads are widely available across UK supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury's, ASDA, and Morrisons.
