About Sandford Orchards
Sandford Orchards is an award-winning Devon craft cider maker based at Britain's oldest cider works in Crediton. Founded in 2002 by chief cidermaker Barny Butterfield, this proudly independent, family-run cidery uses only fresh-pressed juice from locally sourced Devon cider apples - most orchards are within 5 miles of their Cider Works. Every drop is naturally fermented without concentrates, artificial flavours, or aromas, following traditional Devonshire cider-making techniques adapted for the modern era. The range includes Devon Red (a perfectly balanced medium cider named after Devon's distinctive red soil), Katja (a Prosecco-style sparkling cider), Ice Cider (intensified using wine-making icing techniques), Shaky Bridge (dry and sparkling), Creedy Vintage (barrel aged), and award-winning Red Zero (Best Non-Alcoholic Cider at World Cider Awards). Visitors can tour the Cider Works and enjoy tastings in the Tap Room Bar with stone-baked pizza. Compare Sandford Orchards cider prices across UK supermarkets.
