About Annabels
Annabel's Deliciously British is an award-winning Yorkshire food brand founded by Annabel Makin-Jones, who began growing premium strawberries with her father on their family farm in the heart of Yorkshire while still at university. What started as a strawberry enterprise supplying top restaurants and retailers has grown into one of the UK's most celebrated artisan food producers. The brand is built on a foundation of excellence and provenance. Annabel established a reputation for growing the finest UK strawberries, with current varieties including Malling Centenary, Elsanta, and Triumph. Over a decade later, this success evolved into Annabel's Deliciously British—producing exquisite products for people who genuinely care about taste and where their food comes from. The product range has grown organically from their strawberry-growing roots to include fresh fruit, forced rhubarb from Yorkshire's celebrated Rhubarb Triangle, preserves (Strawberry Conserve, Rhuberry Conserve, Strawberry Chilli Chutney), honey, yoghurt, and even gin. They also produce bouquets of premium British flowers including daffodils and agapanthus. Sustainability is central to the brand's ethos. Annabel's is committed to carbon neutrality, zero waste, and year-round productivity. They repurpose imperfect fruit for preserves and have created a sister brand called Tame & Wild, which produces sparkling drinks using 'wonky fruit' from the farm. The business uses biodegradable punnets and trays and holds LEAF, BRC, and Red Tractor accreditations. Today, Annabel's Deliciously British is one of the best-selling brands at Booths supermarkets in Northern England and supplies Ocado and a growing list of premium retailers and restaurants across the UK.
