About Bardinet
Bardinet is one of France's most distinguished brandy houses, founded in 1857 by 20-year-old Paul Bardinet in Limoges. What began as an experiment in flavour and ambition has grown into one of the world's top 10 internationally-sold brandies and the third biggest-selling French-made brandy globally. The brand's pivot to grape-based brandy marked a turning point for the entire category. Under the leadership of Paul's son Edouard, the company relocated to Bordeaux, one of Europe's largest ports, strategically positioning Bardinet for international growth. The house embraced the richness of French grapes and the slow alchemy of Limousin oak ageing, creating a style that remains both accessible and refined. This craftsmanship earned prestigious awards at international exhibitions from Paris in 1878 to Melbourne in 1880. Today, Bardinet operates from the magnificent Domaine de Fleurenne estate near Bordeaux, where their cellar master rigorously selects eaux-de-vie for traditional oak cask ageing and perfect blending. The company joined the independent La Martiniquaise group in 1993 while maintaining its heritage and quality standards. Beyond brandy, the Bardinet portfolio includes the renowned Negrita rum label.
