About Fabbri
Fabbri is a legendary fifth-generation, family-run Italian company founded in 1905 in Bologna, best known for their iconic Amarena Fabbri wild cherries in syrup. The distinctive white-and-blue ceramic jar has become such an enduring symbol of Italian design that it entered the MoMA Design Store in New York in 2019. The company began when Gennaro Fabbri's wife Rachele took over an old general store in Portomaggiore, near a wild black cherry orchard. She picked the cherries and cooked them in sugar in copper pots, creating the authentic recipe that has remained unchanged since 1915. These Amarena cherries - small, dark, slightly bitter (amara in Italian) - are grown exclusively in the Bologna and Modena regions of Italy. Amarena Fabbri Wild Cherries in Syrup are 100% natural, gluten-free, and certified Kosher. The candied cherries, immersed in rich syrup, offer a perfect balance of sweet and tart - ideal for topping ice cream, decorating chocolate desserts, garnishing cocktails, or enjoying straight from the jar. Beyond their iconic cherries, Fabbri produces a range of professional-quality flavoured syrups for cocktails and coffee, including Grenadine and Ginger Opaline. Now managed by the fourth generation of the Fabbri family, the company has 10 branches globally and exports to over 100 countries.
