About Farrows
Farrow's is a heritage British food brand with roots dating back to 1840 when Joseph Farrow Sr established himself as a manufacturer of mushroom ketchup in Cambridgeshire. The company has been producing Britain's finest Giant Marrowfat Peas since 1929, making them a genuine British classic with nearly a century of tradition. The Farrow's story spans generations of British food heritage. Joseph Farrow Jr expanded the business from 1883, developing peas and mustard under the A1 trademark. By 1904, Farrow & Co claimed to be the largest manufacturer of mushroom ketchup in the world, ranking as one of the largest industrial concerns in Peterborough. Today's Farrow's Giant Marrowfat Peas continue this tradition of quality. British grown and packed, these peas are naturally high in fibre, low in sugar and fat, and count as one of your 5-a-day. The distinctive large marrowfat peas have a satisfying texture that has made them a staple of British meals for generations. Following ownership by Colman's (from 1912), Batchelors/Unilever (from 1971), Campbell Soup Company (from 2001), and Premier Foods (from 2006), the Farrow's brand is currently owned by Princes Ltd of Liverpool since 2011. Available at all major UK supermarkets including Tesco, Waitrose, Morrisons, and Asda.
