About Gilfresh
Gilfresh Produce is a family-run vegetable producer based in Loughgall, Co. Armagh, Northern Ireland. Founded by Thomas Gilpin MBE in 1965, the company started with just 4 acres growing cabbages and spring onions for Belfast Market. Now in its 60th year and led by Managing Director William Gilpin, the company employs around 130 staff and grows over 1,000 acres of fresh vegetables, salads, and pumpkins annually through their sister farms Gilpin Farms (Armagh) and Gilfresh Farms (Dundalk). Gilfresh specialises in traditional Northern Irish vegetables including carrots, broccoli, turnips, cabbage, cauliflower, parsnips, and leeks. Their salad range includes iceberg lettuce, little gem, spring onions, and celery. The company also grows mushrooms (chestnut, closed cup, and button varieties) and offers freshly prepared products like carrot batons. Sustainability is central to Gilfresh operations. Their anaerobic digester processes vegetable waste into biofuel, powering the entire farm with green energy while reducing food waste and carbon emissions. The site also features wind turbine generation. Compare Gilfresh family-grown vegetable prices across Ocado, Asda, Tesco, and other UK retailers. Support Northern Irish farming while enjoying fresh, sustainably-produced vegetables delivered to your door.
