About Greenyard Frozen
Greenyard Frozen is a division of Greenyard, the Belgian produce processing and distribution giant headquartered in Antwerp Province. Formed in 2015 through the merger of Univeg, Pinguin, Noliko, and Peltracom, Greenyard is a European leader in fresh, frozen, and prepared fruit and vegetables. The Frozen division operates 9 production plants across Belgium, France, the UK, and Poland, selling to all European countries and over 80 markets worldwide. As pioneers in the frozen produce sector, they supply retailers, food service companies, and the food industry with an exceptionally wide range of innovative products. In the UK, Greenyard Frozen offers the Gigi range - described as a game-changing pure-plant brand. Gigi originated as a Dutch start-up founded in 2018 by Italian gelato master Luigi Graziosi and entrepreneurs Zeno Tosoni and Ralph Barkmeijer, before being acquired by Greenyard to accelerate their plant-based frozen snack category. Gigi products pair fruit and vegetables in innovative combinations to create healthy alternatives to traditional frozen treats. With no dairy, additives, or artificial aromas, flavours include Strawberry, Blueberry & Beetroot; Mango, Passion Fruit & Fennel; and Orange, Carrot & Ginger.
