About Longley Farm
Longley Farm is a family-owned Yorkshire dairy founded in 1948 by brothers Joseph and Edgar Dickinson in Hade Edge, near Holmfirth in the Yorkshire Pennines. For over 75 years, the company has produced prize-winning dairy products using traditional methods and top-quality British milk, with nothing artificial added. The Telegraph has described their yogurts as "natural, exceptionally good and simple fruit yogurts from this small dairy." The Longley Farm range includes natural yogurt, bio yogurt, a variety of fruit yogurts, and their newer Greek Style yogurt which combines traditional Greek straining methods with over 70 years of Yorkshire dairying expertise. All products are completely free from additives, preservatives, and artificial colours. The company owns a 250-strong herd of Jersey cattle and sources milk from 80 additional farms across Yorkshire, processing over 40 million litres annually. Their cottage cheese has gained national and international popularity. Remarkably, Longley Farm installed the first commercial wind turbine in Great Britain in 1986, demonstrating early commitment to sustainable farming. Their products are sold nationwide through Morrisons and Asda, with wider Yorkshire distribution through independent retailers. For shoppers seeking authentic, additive-free dairy products made with genuine British farming heritage, Longley Farm represents traditional quality you can trust.
