About nibs etc
nibs etc. is the UK's first upcycled snack brand, a female-owned London-based startup dedicated to eliminating food waste by transforming lost nutrients from food and drink manufacturing into delicious, award-winning snacks and granola. The company was founded by Chloë Stewart, who first started nibs etc. as a blog about her love of food and thrifty approach to cooking. Her determination to squeeze every last ounce of value from ingredients and desire to inspire others to upcycle led to the creation of the brand. After winning their first awards, nibs etc. incorporated in January 2018 and launched at Borough Market, where they have been trading every week since. nibs etc. makes their granola and snacks using upcycled ingredients that would normally be thrown away. Their key innovation is using apple juice pulp collected from cider and juice pressers across England. This byproduct, typically discarded, becomes the basis for their high-fibre products, reducing food waste while creating nutritious snacks. All nibs etc. products are made in England using upcycled British apple pulp. They are high in fibre with no refined sugar, no artificial ingredients, and no preservatives. The brand offers granola varieties including savoury options with barley, spelt and walnuts, as well as sweet versions with rye, hazelnut and cacao. Based in Greenwich, London, nibs etc. products are available at Whole Foods Market locations around London, Selfridges on Bond Street, and independent shops, delis, cafes, and packaging-free shops. The brand represents the growing movement toward sustainable, zero-waste food production.
