About Supreme
Supreme Petfoods is a British small animal food company founded in 1990-1991 in Suffolk, England. The company evolved from a family-run milling business dating back to the late 19th century, when a member of the original Suffolk milling family partnered with a local farmer already supplying hay and straw to pet stores. Together, they recognised an unmet need for nutritionally tailored pet food and created the first branded food specifically designed for small pets. The company launched the UK's first specialist pet food for "small furries" - rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, and other small mammals - with the creation of their flagship product Russel Rabbit. The Tiny Friends Farm brand was developed to bring together all species products under one umbrella, featuring beloved characters including Russel Rabbit, Gerty Guinea Pig, Harry Hamster, and Gerri Gerbil. In the quarter century since launch, Supreme has become one of the top three pet food suppliers in the UK. Today, Supreme Petfoods is one of Europe's top producers of small animal food, offering a comprehensive selection of species-specific products across over 40 countries. Their portfolio includes the original Tiny Friends Farm range and the veterinarian-recommended Science Selective line, both made in Suffolk using locally sourced natural ingredients. In 2024, they expanded further with the introduction of Tiny Friends Farm Dog Treats. The company has earned significant recognition, including the 2024 Pet Product Marketing Retailer Recommended Award for Manufacturer of the Year and eight consecutive Small Animal Product of the Year Awards. Supreme is committed to sustainability, using no palm oil and sourcing locally to reduce CO2 emissions whilst educating pet owners on proper care, portion sizes, and balanced diets.
