About Vets Kitchen
Vet's Kitchen is a British super-premium pet food brand created by Dr. Joe Inglis BVSc MRCVS, a practising veterinarian and BBC television presenter known for The One Show. Since 2005, the brand has been creating naturally nutritious dog and cat food, founded on veterinary expertise and the belief that better nutrition prevents many common pet health problems. Dr. Inglis, who also founded the Campaign for Real Pet Food, launched Vet's Kitchen commercially in 2007 through Pets' Kitchen Ltd. The company's commitment to pet health led them to open Vet's Klinic, a state-of-the-art veterinary practice in Swindon in 2012, which grew to become one of the UK's largest single-site first opinion practices, seeing over 100 pets daily. The brand's direct connection to veterinary practice has informed their product development, with the team witnessing firsthand how poor nutrition affects pet health. Vet's Kitchen focuses on hypoallergenic formulations using natural, high-quality ingredients designed to support overall wellbeing in dogs and cats of all ages and sizes. In May 2024, Vet's Kitchen was acquired by Pets Choice, the Blackburn-based pet food company behind Webbox, Bob Martin, Felight, and TastyBone. The acquisition brings Vet's Kitchen into a larger portfolio while maintaining the brand's commitment to veterinary-developed, naturally nutritious pet food available across UK supermarkets and pet retailers.
