About Wild Thingz
Wild Thingz is a UK vegan confectionery brand with a "less junk, more punk" mission, founded by Fliss Newland after she left a senior position at Mondelēz International. Created by a female team, the brand aims to disrupt the mainstream sweets market with better-for-you alternatives. The gummies contain half the sugar of mainstream brands like Haribo, with no artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives. Using only organic, gluten-free, plant-based ingredients, Wild Thingz achieves its soft jelly texture through fruit pectins rather than animal-derived gelatine. Three playful ranges are available: Fruity Flyers (fruit-flavoured flying bugs), Zesty Pests (citrus-flavoured creepy crawlies), and Gummy Grubs (including Peach Frogs, Cola Snails, Blackcurrant Worms, and mascot "Vee" the Venus Fly Trap). Products come in 130g share bags and 25g treat-sized packs. Newland acquired Just Whole Foods (makers of Veggie Bears) and relaunched as Wild Thingz to appeal to mainstream consumers seeking rebellious, fun plant-based sweets. Available at independent retailers, Amazon UK, and through distributors including Diverse Fine Foods and Suma Wholesale.
