About Bolci
Bolçi is a renowned Turkish chocolate brand from the city of Bolu, celebrated for its artisan quality and innovative confections featuring premium Anatolian ingredients. Founded in 1998 by entrepreneur Hasan Aksoy, the company began in a humble 16m² production space and has grown into a major confectionery producer exporting to over 40 countries worldwide. The brand's now-patented mushroom-shaped chocolate has become an iconic Turkish treat, as clever in design as it is delicious. This distinctive shape, combined with unwavering quality, transformed Bolci from a local favourite into a celebrated national brand. Today, their state-of-the-art 16,300m² factory produces 250 tonnes of chocolate monthly across more than 800 product varieties. Bolci positions itself as a premium, artisan alternative to mass-market Turkish chocolates like Ülker. They blend classic Anatolian ingredients – particularly Turkey's world-famous hazelnuts and pistachios – with modern chocolate-making techniques. Their Dubai Chocolate range features luxurious combinations like pistachio kadayif, bringing together Middle Eastern pastry traditions with fine chocolate. The company employs 350 people, all of whom receive specialised training before starting. Bolci chocolates are available in dedicated brand stores across Turkey, high-end supermarkets, major airports, and increasingly in UK stores like Lidl, bringing authentic Turkish confectionery craftsmanship to British chocolate lovers.
