About Buxton
Buxton Natural Mineral Water is the UK's largest British natural mineral water brand, sourced from the renowned springs in Buxton, Derbyshire—a town famous for its natural thermal waters since Roman times. The brand is owned and operated by Nestlé Waters UK, which invested £31 million in a state-of-the-art bottling facility in the town. The Buxton bottling site is a leader in sustainability, becoming the UK's first site to achieve platinum certification under the Alliance for Water Stewardship International Standard in March 2021. The brand has committed to water regeneration projects through partnerships with Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, including restoring the River Ecclesbourne (opening 28km for fish migration) and enhancing Combs Moss moorland to increase water retention and reduce flood risk. Buxton has achieved significant environmental milestones: all bottles are now made entirely from recycled PET plastic (rPET), excluding caps and labels, supporting Nestlé's goal to reduce virgin plastic use by one-third by 2025. The brand also partners with mental health charity Mind in a three-year partnership (2024-2026), donating £500,000 to support physical and mental health through their "Sweat and Tears" campaign. The range includes still and sparkling natural mineral water in various sizes (500ml to 2L), available at all major UK supermarkets. Buxton represents a British water brand with strong local heritage, modern sustainability credentials, and commitment to community partnership.
