About Capri Sun
Capri Sun is the world's number one kids' drink, invented in Germany in 1969 by Rudolf Wild. Named after the Italian island of Capri, the drink was originally called Capri-Sonne in its German homeland. Today, around 6 billion pouches are sold annually in over 100 countries worldwide. Rudolf Wild sought an alternative to traditional bottles and partnered with French company Thimonnier, who had patented the innovative drink pouch. The iconic laminated foil pouches have become synonymous with the brand, offering a convenient, portable format that children love. Capri Sun has been available in the UK since the mid-1970s. After initial distribution by RHM Foods, Coca-Cola Schweppes Beverages took over UK production in 1994. In 2024, Capri Sun Group took back direct control of UK sales and distribution, with Princes Group now co-packing products at their Bradford facility—the first site globally to produce Cola Zero flavour. The UK range includes the Original pouches (200ml) in Orange, Tropical, Cherry, Jungle, and Apple & Blackcurrant. All Original Capri Sun is made with real fruit juice, water, and stevia plant sweetener, cutting sugar content by 50% with no artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives. The No Added Sugar range offers the same great taste in Blackcurrant, Orange, Tropical, and Summer Berries. Big Pouches (330ml) feature a re-closable cap for on-the-go convenience. The relaunched Squash range includes Double Strength Orange, Monster Alarm, and Jungle Drink—enriched with vitamins C and D, offering 50 servings per bottle. Capri Sun is available at UK supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda, and Morrisons. Compare prices across retailers with Grocefully.
