About Chateau Leoube
Château Léoube is one of Provence's most prestigious organic wine estates, producing award-winning rosé, red, and white wines from one of Europe's most beautiful protected coastal sites. Nestled at Cap Bénat on the French Mediterranean coast, just an hour from Saint-Tropez, the 560-hectare estate overlooks the picturesque town of Bormes-les-Mimosas and the legendary Golden Islands of Hyères. The estate has roots stretching back to the 14th century, but its transformation into a world-class organic producer began in 1997 when the Bamford family acquired the property. They meticulously replanted the 70 hectares of vineyards, renovated the historic cellars, and committed to entirely organic farming practices. Their first vintage was released in 2000, marking the beginning of Léoube's modern era. Château Léoube achieved Ecocert organic certification in 2011 and holds HVE (High Environmental Value) III certification. The estate won the prestigious Biodiversity Award at the Drinks Business Green Awards 2020, recognising their commitment to environmental stewardship. All pesticides and synthetic chemicals are banned from the vineyard, with only natural fertilisers permitted. Under the guidance of winemaker Romain Ott, a fourth-generation vigneron, production is deliberately limited to just 300,000 bottles annually, ensuring exceptional quality. The Love by Léoube rosé combines Cinsault, Grenache, and Mourvèdre grapes to deliver sweet aromas of peach, melon, and strawberry with velvety notes of violet and wild flowers.
