About De Bortoli
De Bortoli Wines is an award-winning Australian family winery established in 1928 by Italian immigrants Vittorio and Giuseppina De Bortoli in Bilbul, New South Wales. The seventh largest Australian wine company by production, De Bortoli remains family-owned with the third generation now at the helm. The story began when Vittorio De Bortoli arrived from Castelcucco, Treviso in 1924. After purchasing a 55-acre mixed fruit farm, a glut of shiraz grapes gave him an opportunity - local farmers let them rot, but Vittorio took them for free and crushed 15 tonnes. When local Italian and European workers offered to buy his wine, De Bortoli Wines was born. Today, De Bortoli owns four wineries across different Australian wine regions, including the prestigious Yarra Valley Estate. Managing Director Darren De Bortoli oversees winemaking alongside family members across the business. Notable achievements include: • Noble One Botrytis Semillon - 104 Trophies, 352 Gold medals, 113 International Awards • Yarra Valley Estate - premium cool climate wines since 1987 • Ranked 6th largest Australian wine company by revenue The Very Cautious One range brings De Bortoli's winemaking expertise to the alcohol-free market: • Gewürztraminer Riesling 0% - aromatic white wine alternative • Shiraz 0% - full-bodied red wine alternative These 0% wines offer the complexity and character of Australian wines without the alcohol, perfect for mindful drinking occasions.
