About Henry Westons
Henry Westons is the flagship cider brand from H. Weston & Sons Limited, a family-owned cider and perry producer based in Much Marcle, Herefordshire since 1878. The brand is named after founder Henry Weston, who began crafting ciders and perries using fruit from the surrounding orchards, pioneering methods that remain at the heart of the company today. The Westons story began when Henry used a horse-powered stone mill and hand press outside his farmhouse, later investing in a steam engine to increase production. His early cider, known as "Weston's Rough," sold so well through merchants that orders arrived from as far as Scotland, and the company was even appointed cider and perry suppliers to the House of Commons. Today, Westons remains in family hands, with fourth-generation family member Helen Thomas as managing director. The company uses traditional methods including a large collection of oak vats and sources apples from their own 43 acres of organic orchards plus growers across Herefordshire, Worcestershire, and Gloucestershire. The cider mill in Much Marcle is also a popular tourist attraction with daily tours and sampling. At Grocefully, we help UK shoppers compare Henry Westons vintage cider prices across major supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Morrisons.
