About La Vieille Ferme
La Vieille Ferme is an iconic French wine that brings the expertise of the legendary Perrin family to everyday drinking. The Perrin family has been synonymous with exceptional Southern Rhône winemaking since 1909 when they acquired Château de Beaucastel, one of the most celebrated estates in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. For over 40 years, La Vieille Ferme (meaning 'The Old Farmhouse') has been their accessible wine label, offering excellent quality at affordable prices. The wines are produced from vineyards on the slopes of Mont Ventoux and the Luberon, where the altitude brings freshness and finesse to whites and rosés, while the Ventoux terroir provides structure and elegance to red wines. The red La Vieille Ferme typically blends 50% Grenache with 20% Syrah, 15% Cinsault, and 15% Carignan, vinified using the same careful methods the family applies to their prestigious Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Grapes are grown at up to 300 metres above sea level in the peaceful, sun-drenched Southern Rhône. The Perrin family empire also includes Miraval (the rosé estate co-owned with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie), Clos des Tourelles, and La Maison Nicolas Perrin. They even helped establish Tablas Creek Vineyard in California's Paso Robles. Compare La Vieille Ferme wine prices across Lidl, Morrisons and other UK retailers on Grocefully.
