About Peppa Pig
Peppa Pig is one of the world's most beloved children's entertainment brands, created by British animators Neville Astley and Mark Baker. The preschool animated series first aired on 31 May 2004 and has since been translated into over 40 languages, broadcast in more than 180 territories. The show celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2024, having captured the hearts of infants and preschoolers worldwide with its simple stories about Peppa, George, Mummy and Daddy Pig. The brand's corporate journey has been eventful: Entertainment One (eOne) acquired 70% of Astley Baker Davies (the original production company) in 2015. Hasbro then purchased eOne for approximately $4 billion in 2019, making Peppa Pig a flagship Hasbro property. When Hasbro sold eOne to Lionsgate in 2023, they strategically retained Peppa Pig and the stake in Astley Baker Davies, recognising the franchise's enormous value. Licensed Peppa Pig products span food, toys, apparel and homewares. Food partners include Heinz (biscotti, pasta shapes), Seabrooks (Cheesy Lentil Puffs, Sour Cream Hoops), and Yoplait (fromage frais). Toy licensees include HTI (40+ role play products including the Market Shop), TOMY (Grow With Peppa range), Ravensburger (games), and Character Options (plush toys). Clothing collaborations include JoJo Maman Bébé, George at Asda, and Crocs. In October 2024, Hasbro announced a dedicated Peppa Pig retail store at Battersea Power Station alongside a Transformers store.
