About Scrumbles
Scrumbles is a British pet food brand founded in 2018 by husband and wife team Aneisha Soobroyen and Jack Walker, inspired by their own pets' sensitive tummies. After their cat Boo suffered digestive issues, Aneisha and Jack quit their corporate jobs and spent 18 months developing recipes in their Croydon kitchen before launching Scrumbles. The brand focuses on gut health, featuring natural prebiotics (like chicory and slippery elm), probiotics (Enterococcus Faecium with over 1 billion live bacteria per kilo), and postbiotics across their range. All recipes are hypoallergenic, avoiding soy, gluten, dairy, egg, and red meat. Scrumbles uses easy-to-digest proteins—free-run poultry and fish from human food supply chains—with up to 77% quality meat or fish per recipe. Scrumbles gained national attention on Dragon's Den in August 2019, where Aneisha and Jack famously turned down an offer from Deborah Meaden. Since then, the company has grown from packing orders in their kitchen to generating over £10 million in annual sales. In March 2023, Scrumbles secured a £6 million investment to fund further expansion. The product range includes probiotic-packed dry food for dogs and cats, grain-free wet food with 65% single-source meat, guilt-free treats, dental chews, and specialist puppy and kitten food. All Scrumbles products are manufactured in the UK. Key retailers include Tesco, Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Asda, Pets at Home, and Amazon.
