About Solpadeine
Solpadeine is a trusted UK pain relief brand offering a range of analgesic medications containing paracetamol and caffeine combinations. Now made by Omega Pharma (following GlaxoSmithKline's sale of its over-the-counter drug portfolio in 2012), Solpadeine has been a pharmacy staple for effective pain management. The Solpadeine range is designed to tackle different pain relief needs. Solpadeine Headache tablets and soluble tablets contain Paracetamol and Caffeine - a combination formulated to give extra pain relief beyond paracetamol alone. The caffeine helps enhance the analgesic effect while also addressing fatigue that often accompanies headaches. For more acute moderate pain, the range includes Solpadeine Plus (Paracetamol 500mg, Codeine 8mg, Caffeine 30mg) and Solpadeine Max (Paracetamol 500mg, Codeine 12.8mg, Caffeine 30mg) - pharmacy-only medicines for pain not relieved by paracetamol or ibuprofen alone. SolpaOne provides paracetamol-only effervescent tablets for mild to moderate pain. Products are available in both tablet and soluble formats. Soluble tablets offer faster absorption as the active ingredients are already dissolved, making them popular for rapid headache relief. The fast-acting formula is designed to work quickly when pain strikes. Solpadeine products are available at UK pharmacies and supermarkets including Tesco and Asda. Codeine-containing products (Plus and Max) require pharmacy purchase due to codeine's potential for addiction and must be used for no more than 3 days. All Solpadeine products are not recommended for children under 12 years.
