About SunnyD
SunnyD (originally Sunny Delight) is an iconic citrus juice drink developed in Florida in 1963. The brand launched in the UK in April 1998 with a £10 million campaign and rapidly became the third best-selling soft drink after Coca-Cola and Pepsi by 1999. The UK formulation is a citrus juice drink with sweeteners, containing 11% fruit juices (orange, mandarin, grapefruit, lime) and fortified with Vitamins C, E, and D. A 250ml serving provides 50% of daily Vitamin D requirements with only 18 calories. The UK version uses beta-carotene for natural colouring and sweeteners (Sucralose, Acesulfame K) instead of added sugar. Produced by Refresco Drinks UK in Derbyshire, SunnyD offers the popular Tangy Florida flavour as a refreshing, vitamin-enriched alternative to traditional orange juice.
