About Two Tribes
Two Tribes is an award-winning London craft brewery that emerged from the capital's counterculture scene, founded in 2017 by Justin Deighton. A former DJ who spearheaded the 90s club-culture revolution, Deighton saw parallels between the craft beer boom and the club renaissance, bringing his creative ethos and extensive network of artists, musicians, and chefs into the brewing world. The brewery's journey began when Deighton and partner Nicky returned from Australia, inspired by the local food and drink scene. They started brewing at King's Brewery in Horsham in 2015 before establishing their own plant at Tileyard Studios in King's Cross, London in 2018. The name Two Tribes represents partnership and collaboration rather than division, embodying their mission to unite brewers, artists, musicians, chefs, and craft creators who share values of fun, freedom, curiosity, and creative discovery. Two Tribes has achieved remarkable success, with August 2023 marking their biggest month ever when they sold 400,000 pints in just two weeks. They've partnered with prestigious brands including Virgin Atlantic, Eurostar, and The Standard Hotel. The brewery won the Innovation Award at the British Business Awards for pioneering Shazam QR codes on beer, and claimed Silver at the World Beer Awards. Their Campfire taproom, opened in King's Cross in 2021, offers the full Two Tribes experience. Their Power Plant Premium Pilsner exemplifies the Two Tribes approach: refreshing, high-quality beer designed to bring people together.
