About Waterwipes
WaterWipes is an Irish baby care brand founded by Edward McCloskey after his newborn daughter developed nappy rash from conventional baby wipes. Unable to find a wipe without numerous chemical ingredients, he created his own - and WaterWipes was born. The brand has since become the UK market leader and ranks among the top three baby wipe brands globally. WaterWipes are made with 99.9% purified water and a drop of fruit extract, using a unique 7-stage water purification process. The wipes contain 0% fragrance and alcohol, making them ideal for newborns and babies with sensitive skin. They're approved by Allergy UK, the National Eczema Association, and the Vegan Society, providing peace of mind for parents. Manufactured in two cleanroom facilities in Drogheda, Ireland, WaterWipes produces over three million packs weekly, exported to approximately 50 countries worldwide. The wipes are made from plant-based viscose and are plastic-free. In 2025, the brand upgraded their wipes to be thicker, softer, and 2x stronger whilst maintaining their trusted purity. UK shoppers can find WaterWipes at all major supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury's, Boots, and Amazon. Use Grocefully to compare prices across retailers - for example, Tesco offers the Biodegradable Baby Wipes 60 Pack x 4 at £11 regular price or £8 with Clubcard.
