About Orchard Pig
Orchard Pig is a Somerset craft cider brand based in Glastonbury, known for its distinctive character and West Country heritage. The company began in a Somerset shed, surrounded by the best West Country apple trees and free-roaming Old Spot pigs - the inspiration behind the brand name and its tagline "It's a rare breed." Founded by an ex-Royal Marines Commando who originally just wanted to keep pigs, Orchard Pig evolved into one of the fastest-growing apple cider brands in the UK. Starting as a humble startup, the company grew to 40,000 hectolitres, over 1,000 draught taps, and 18 employees within 10 years, with turnover doubling in the most recent two years. All Orchard Pig ciders are made with ripe, juicy cider apples grown in Somerset, harvested from around 1,000 acres of historical orchards that the company nurtures. The ciders are bursting with West Country bittersweet cider apples, expertly crafted to their own special blends that reflect the brand's free-spirited attitude. The cider range includes several distinctive products. The Reveller is a crisp cider at 4.5% ABV with a light, refreshing body, fruity nose, and zesty tail. Other varieties include The Explorer, The Navelgazer, The Charmer, The Truffler, The Hogfather, and Ginger & Chilli - available in different formats from draught to bottle. Orchard Pig is now part of C&C Group's portfolio, helping bring their Somerset craft cider to a wider audience while maintaining the artisanal quality that made the brand successful. Available in UK supermarkets including Iceland, as well as pubs and bars across the country.
